Interesting story, but like virtually all the chain e-mails forwarded around these days, it's an urban legend. Details here: http://www.snopes.com/music/songs/taps.asp

And for those who don't believe Snopes, there's always West Point grads: http://www.west-point.org/taps/Taps.html

Or Arlington Cemetery: http://www.arlingtoncemetery.org/ceremo ... ftaps.html

Besides precious stories, beautiful photographs, religious images w/prose,collections of jokes, urban legends, etc, there is almost always malicious "phishing" or personal information gathering software embedded in such e-mails.That's why they always have a "hook" and say if you're a christian, patriot, want a cure for cancer, love the lord, hate Obama, want to brighten up someone's day,blah,blah,blah....then forward this to ten other friends.

And for some reason I end up being considered one of those 10 friends even though I try hard to be more selective and discerning when I choose my friends. Go figure.
