He played that black Emmons at either the last or next to the last Jayton Jam. There could be a picture good enough to see the pedals on that web site if it is still there. Search Jayton Jam. He said he had had that Emmons in his music room for a while, but hadn't played it out a lot at the time.

I would be interested in seeing the pedals on his new Emmons if he recently got one.

Jerry, are there something special about these pedals that you're looking for ?? I allways thought the pedals on my push-pulls (the older style) were the best feeling, most ergonomic pedals I ever pushed. That was either the older, wide pedals or the narrow ones of the same design. I never liked the new style pedals nearly as much.
As for Weldon, well he's one of my heroes. I've loved his playing for over 40 years !! A darn good guy too.
Sincerely,
Chris "Tiny" Olson

The last guitar we built for Weldon before I left was a black LeGrande III. I have no idea if he has gotten anything since then. The last time I saw him was three years ago and he was playing the black guitar. He played this guitar at Ron Lashley's funeral in 1999 and broke a third string in the middle of the song. He told everyone that it was Ron playing a joke. For those who may not know, Weldon and Ron were like brothers, very close friends.
For me Weldon was one of the elite. Not only his incredible talent but his genuine spirit and honest business practices. I miss seeing and talking with him very much.
