You just ought to have been there. One of the best or possibly the best meeting we have had. Everyone is wecome at our metings. We had 9 steel guitar players to play, and a great responsive crowd.The players : David Jones-SD10 Star, Joe Rouse-SD10 Carson Wells,Bob Gondeson-D10 Emmons, Finis Spier-SD10 Rittenberry, Randy Boyd-D10 Emmons, Ory Oubre- S12 Oubre Special, Jody Sanders-D10 EMCI, Tom Campbell-S12 Sierra. Billy Phelps was the featured player, and did he play. A good set of Gospel and country with his D10 Carter. The band : Jim Saunders-Guitar, Dave Waters-Guitar(is lead player for Billy Mata and Texas Tradition),Kent Boyd, Larry Schoppe,Patty Phelps-Bass. Igor-drums.The JAM players : Bob Gondeson, Billy Phelps, Finis Spier, Randy Boyd, Ory Oubre, and Jody Sanders. Vocalists : Gene Brogdon, Randy Boyd, Larry Schoppe, Patty Phelps, Billy Phelps. Today was Gospel Day and a lot of good Gospel tunes were played on steel guitar..Everyone was at their best. Thanks to Joe Rouse for the delicious brownies. Thanks to everyone in attendance and for your donations. Thanks to Billy and Patty Phelps for all they do to keep our club operating. There will not be a July meeting due to the 4th of July Holiday.Our next meeting will be Sunday, August 2nd. with Randy Boyd as featured player. Many thanks to all, and may GOD BLESS. I had a great time. Good lunch provided by the youth group. Great gospel steel playing. I was proud of our new players. It was good to see them giving it there best. Can't wait till the Aug Jam to see if we can top this one.

Jody, Billy and Patty,
Thanks for another great meeting! My family and I enjoyed all the music. It's a treat for me to be able to see, hear, and visit with other steel players. I enjoyed all of the players, especially the awesome Billy Phelps.
