Fender 400 console conversion $500 + shipping

Post by Steve Hamill »

What we have here is a project that turned out really well. It's a converted 400, I rec'd in trade from Jim Sliff. Ryan Rukavina made the nut, bridge, and fretboard. The pick-up is an incredible piece of work from Rick Aiello. I made the flame maple top cover. Heres a thread about it right before I finished it:

I'm in need of some funds for another project and am mainly playing Weissenborn, and a Ricky B7. This ones not getting the attention it deserves.

It's 27" scale!!! Rings like a piano, and sounds amazing. I'd like to get $500 plus
shipping anywhere in the USA. I'll send it anywhere, but outside the US you will need to cover some costs. I'll include a Bradshaw tab rack with it. Paypal OK too.

If I had the $$ that would be mine. Lovely, and the tone of those bodies is unique. With Rick's pickup it has to be great.

Heres a picture of the gutted body I traded for that was the beginning of this project.

It provides beautiful tone, and a very stable platform for the longer scale.

The total for the parts should exceed the asking price as it doesn't account for any of my labor time putting it all together. I think it's a good deal as priced.

Body value= $250
legs+ $50
Brass bridge and nut+ $80
Flame Maple fretboard and top+ $100
Aiello Fountain of Sound 2.7 K + $175
Bradshaw Tab Rack $25
Tuner pan and tuners are priceless if you need them
and can't find them.

Times are tough. I'm leaving on Friday for 2 weeks. Like to get it sold, and shipped out before then.
Price dropped as low as I'll go. $500 plus shipping.

Steve,
I see Joerg has posted, but a day has passed with no close. If it did not work out, I'm interested. I sent you an email.
