Dear all of you !
I must reverse my visit to the convention for this year. I have an acute broken intervertebral disc. They diagnosed it last week. Now I have to go to hospital next week.
I´m very sad about this, because I looked forward to visit the convention my third year now with Walter Stettner, my dear friend from Vienna.
I want to wish all of you much fun at the convention and take care of you.
See you next year... warmest regards... Thomas |

I FEEL YOUR PAIN THOMAS!!! ALTHOUGH I DONT HAVE A BACK ISSUE, OUR FAMILY HAS BEEN THROUGH A TREMENDOUS TRAGIC EVENT WITHIN THE PAST FEW WEEKS AND WE ARE STILL RECOVERING AND WITH ALL THAT HAS GONE ON I JUST DONT HAVE THE MONEY THIS YEAR TO COME. I AM REALLY GONNA MISS IT. THE ISGA HAS BEEN A PART OF MY LIFE SINCE I WAS 10 YEARS OLD BACK IN 1987. AND MY SON HAS STARTED PLAYING FOOTBALL AND THIS IS HIS FIRST YEAR. SO I WILL MISS YOU ALL AND HOPE FOR A TRULY SUCCESSFULL AND ENJOYABLE CONVENTION. _________________ JDAWG

Thommy,
What a shock that was yesterday when I received your e-mail, telling me about your acute medical problem. I am so sorry that we can't meet in St. Louis this year, but the most important thing is that you will be better soon and get through this ordeal OK. Steel guitar is great, but your health is most important. If there's anything I can help with, let me know!
Best Regards from your friend Walter _________________ www.lloydgreentribute.com |

I Do hope that you will be fine with the back operation. Life is that way, sometimes we are interupted in regaard to things that are very important to us, but your health comes first. I sent you a facebook response before knowing about this news. Let us all know how your surgery comes out. Between Walter and some others of us, maybe we can send some pics and some sounds to ease just some of the pain of not making the ISGC this year.

Dear Joel and Gary !
I want to say thank´s much for your nice words. I´m happy to have friends like you, that think of me.
Joel, you know of my back pain last year. After that everything was fine until a few weeks ago, when the pain came back much more worse.
Gary, it was always a great pleasure to meet you and see you playing the last two years. And you´re absolutely right, sometimes live goes other ways than we want to
Wish you and Walter much fun to play the talent search.
Thank´s for your reply at "facebook" too.
Would be happy to meet both of you, Joel and Gary, in 2010 at ISGC.
Warmest regards... Thomas |
