I just finally noticed a Magnatone D6 MOTS with string through pickups at the local music shop. It wasn't even on display, just tucked in a corner behind a bookshelf above a staircase. I've never seen one before and I was wondering if anyone had experience with them. It was not a console instrument, looking very much like two MOTS lap steels bolted together. Thanks

In trying to look into this further, it looks like it may be from 1950 according to this vintage guitar article:

It did have three white knobs one on the near neck and two on the far.
