Can someone help me? It has been taking along time for me to download video's on to YouTube. It took about 2 hours to download the song I put of Fred Justice on "steel on the web". I have a late model 530 Dell computer with DSL.

Hank;
You can find out if the problem is on your end by running a couple of speed tests, at places like DSL Reports, www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/, or www.speedtest.net/.

Some will require Java, some JavaScript to be enabled, so prepare to allow those websites to use scripting, if you have a script blocker installed in your browser.

Compare your test results for download speed with other DSL users of your ISP and to what you were told to expect from your ISP.

If your download speed is faster than 1 mbps then the problem lies with either YouTube's servers or your ISP throttling your download of streaming media.

There are so many things that can cause A Upload to be slow. Most time on video files its the size of the file.
Did you optimize your video to be the right size and resolution for YouTube. That makes all the difference in the world how quick it uploads.
I know I want my video post to look and sound the best they can. So My files are bigger and take longer to upload. I still haven't figured out the perfect settings yet but I'm still working on it.
