I get this message everytime I want to log off. If I tap the end now button twice real fast and I mean really fast it will end if I don't tap it just right I get the same message. Any ideas would be appreciated.

You didn't mention the operating system you're using. I'm using XP and this is what I do if IE won't turn off:

In XP: Push Ctrl, Alt and Delete together. This brings up the Task Manager. Click on the first tab, Applications.
Single click on the running IE. At the bottom click on End Task.

Then click on the second tab Processes and look for dumprep.exe. Right click on it and select End Process.

That should turn it off. Winking

(I hate having to click on something really fast, before it does some function. Computers are supposed to work for you not against you. I suppose it'd help if I was smarter though...)

It would appear that something is causing your Internet Explorer browser to terminate incompletely and hang in memory. Perhaps disabling some of your browser's add-ons or plug-ins will solve this issue.

Another more sinister explanation is that there is a phantom instance of IE running invisibly, acting as a spy on your browsing activities. Scan for malware as soon as possible.
