At some point my computer was automatically upgraded from AOL 9.0 to 9.1
I went to look up some info from a saved e-mail today and noticed that all of my previously saved and previously sent e-mails from September 2008 thru April 20, 2009 have been deleted as well as the last half of my "favorites" website list. E-mails from before September 2008 have been saved. Any ideas? Thanks as always to all of you who know a lot more about computers than I do |

Have you checked your programs files? Maybe 9.0 is still listed there and you can reinstall it. _________________ Sierra S10 (three!), Peavey 112 and 115, Benoit dobro, Beard Model E dobro, Beard Roadophonic, MSA Superslide, Dean Nickless custom dobro |

I saw this a while ago and though I wish I could help, I don't know a lot about AOL other than it stores everything in basically a big file. Which is not so weird, other email clients do the same thing.
Without other information, it does sound like a glitch that happened when AOL moved your Personal Filing Cabinet from 9.0 to 9.1 The 9.0 PFC may still be on your hard drive, but I don't know that for sure. It'd be a question for the AOL forums, I guess. I wish I knew more about that. But that would give you some hope for getting the emails back, for instance, you could remove 9.1 and go back to using 9.0 and maybe it would use the old PFC.
As with all data loss situations, it's worth it to do a hard drive scan just to be safe...

Just to make sure it's not a failing drive. _________________ MSA Semi-Classic S10 w/ 4P+4L and some shiny new tuners |
