I use yahoo for my e-mail, & when I used to read a letter, then hit my back button, it would go back to my Inbox. Now when I hit my Back button, I get the message below.. I don't remember changing anything.. How can I correct this, so I don't get the message from IE..??? Also it tells me to refresh, but when I click on refresh, it says this page cannot be refreshed without re-submitting the information..
thanks, John

There's probably a button on the page itself that will send you back without hitting IE's back button. It would be better to use that instead of resubmitting the query. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

Microsoft has posted this explanation for the aforementioned error page...
Quote: |
Error Message: Warning: Page Has Expired: The Page You Requested...
This problem can occur for either of the following reasons:
* You have the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" option enabled in Internet Explorer Advanced Settings.
* You are connected to an Active Server Page (.asp) Web page on a Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) version 4.0 server, and the Web page uses the "cache-control: private" tag in the header.
NOTE: This problem only occurs on HTTP/1.1-compliant servers. Cache- control directives are not supported on HTTP/1.0 servers.
To resolve this problem, either disable the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" option, or obtain and install the latest version of Internet Explorer. You can obtain the latest version of Internet Explorer from the following Microsoft Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/
The behavior described in this article can occur if an .asp Web page uses the METHOD=POST attribute in the Form Submit tag, but not if the page uses the METHOD=GET attribute.

Thanks, that did it after I disabled Do Not Save..
Still got another problem.. When someone sends me a JPG photo, I download it, then it says No Preview available with Windows Picture & Fax viewer.. Also when I get a Movie, I download it, then Windows Media Player comes up & says WM cannot play this movie..
Somewhere along the way my settings must have got screwed up..

What format is the movie you cannot play? Was MWP able to play it before? To test for compatibility with an application, drag and drop a file on top of an icon for the program you want to open it with. If the program recognizes the file type it will open it. In that case you have to re-associate that file type with the desired application to be the default viewer/player.
You can re-associate file types via the "Set Program Access And Defaults" utility, accessible from your Start Menu. Sometimes you have to reset an apparently already associated program with a file type to get it to stick. File types and their openers can also be set by opening any explorer window, like My Computer, clicking on Tools > Folder Options > File Types, then scroll down until you find the misbehaving file and change the application that opens it to your preferred program.
Or, open the application and look for options, preferences, or formats and associate the desired type with that application and save the changes. Next time you double click on that file type it should open in your desired app. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum
