Yesterday Mike and his purple Millenium joined forces with a very impressive viola player and cellist to do some chamber music in Pasadena. It was, to say the least an unusual interface, but it worked well. Mike introduced the steel to an audience not familiar with our instrument, and played well.It is good to hear steel players pushing the envelope a bit, like Mike, Al Vescovo, Robert Randolph and more. Mike wore a tie designed by Jerry Garcia, another steel player, and ironically the last man on earth who would ever want to wear a tie.
Lets have more!
