Hi all,

I couldn't date my Emmons S-10 from the Clarostat tone control, but the Ser# is 1112 S. Also, the guitar doesn't have the typical plastic Emmons logo on the front of the body, but it does have the Emmons pedal bar decal. Anyone have any idea of date of manufacture? I was told by a local guy who worked on it, that might be 1966.

Thanks
Neal

I sent an email to Emmons and was told that my #1159 S was built in 1971.

If there are no holes where the Emmons badge was screwed on then maybe it had the sticker type logo which I think would date it as a pretty early one . Others will know more than me though .

John,

The changer, and the whole guitar for that matter, looks exactly like this one -->

....except mine doesn't have the emblem on the front. I got from Emmons years ago, but haven't put it on.

I believe the guitar is a "Fatback", no?

Russ, your ser# is really close to mine, so that would put it from the same time frame as yours - Thanks

Brendan, there aren't any holes on the front for the emblem which I thought was rather peculiar. Maybe the first owner didn't want to do any free advertising for Emmons, and ordered his without it.

When did the patent number show up on the changer block? 1972?
