David, would you know what year Wright came out with a steel which had pedals and / or levers, and if you'd know who plaid it?

Thanks! ... J-D.

David:.
Before my 4-necked Wright burned up, around 1960, the fret boards started to buckle. Did your Dad have any others that did this. He was going to replace them but I didn't get together with him before it burned up. Other than that, it was a great Guitar for my needs.

David,
Just curious, do you know why your dad changed the name from Wright to Sierra?

Ron,
Got a email from him today...Thanks
Mark,
He never changed the name , the Sierra was built as a production Guitar when he teamed up with Bob Crooks, who owned Standel Amps, Bob wanted to have a steel to sell with his amps...and still built the Wrights also. as time went on he stopped making the Wright, He was in business with Ernie Ball in 72, while there the Wright was built, after he left Ball, he went back to Or, to design and build the now Sierra we see today...here is the add when he was in business with Standel

Back in those old days I had serial number 0015 and a Standel S-80 amp (piggy back).

Great thread here. I saw a Wright Custom volume / tone pedal on ebay about 3 months ago. It had Berts name on the inside... I hope he was the high bidder. I bid on it for a while.
I have 2 Wright Customs , one a D-8 restore and the other a fine playing , sounding D-8. I would like to find a T-8 someday. I also have a Wright T/V pedal for each guitar.
David your Dad built a great guitar.
