I have a BIAB track for Working Man Blues (I think from Big Jim's 4100 song CD) that is 110 bpm. While it is playing I can slow it down (85 bpm) and it plays at that speed. When I stop and start over, it goes right back to 110. I've tried Save As. Before I click on "Play" it even shows 85 bpm,,,then as soon as it starts it reverts to 110?

Make the change to the tempo you want. Rename the song (Add a reference to the tempo to the original should do it.) Then do the "Save As" with the new name. That should do it.

If it still plays at the "old" tempo, then there is a hidden "System Ex" transmission at the beginning of the song. I'll have to do a little research to see how to deleate that. I could do it in Sonar but not sure how to do that in BIAB.

Or you could leave the tempo the way it is and do one of these:

Go to the BIAB Help menu under "Topic" and type "Temp Change: you will find several short cuts to change the current tempo by 1/2, 1/4, or other settings.

Normal/ Half/ Quarter/ Eighth Speed: You can quickly change to different speeds. For example, choosing Half Speed (or the hot keys Ctrl -) will change the playback speed to half, and Normal Speed (Ctrl =) will revert to normal speed.

Good luck, Gary "Bo" Baker

Like Gary said, if you rename the song as "Save As" it should work. Sometimes BIAB files that you get from CDs are "Read Only" and you can't save changes in them unless you: right click on the icon for the song (or the folder containing many BIAB files), click on Properties, and Un-check the "Read Only" box. That will allow you save changes in the song(s).
