Well Doug the month of April brought a whole new challenge. My plans in March were to only build this model now called SteelSeat-Lite but it turned out that I REALLY REALLY got in the SteelSeat business when I became owner of that company as well. When we started talking about me getting the SteelSeat company I wound up going to California a couple of Saturday and bring back equipment and supplies. Along with getting that company came some orders. I had to build those first (or more correctly most of those first) --- I have a start on that list of orders and am now building several at a time. The Original SteelSeat company has a great reputation and I am working hard to keep that while being able to improve these seats as well.

Keep watching for more additions to the line because I have lots of ideas and have welcomed lots from others. I have found that several steel players have wanted certain things in a SteelSeat and they are letting me know which has been very helpful.

Thanks again for your support.

After several emails and phone calles I will answer the question here.

I have shipped several Original SteelSeats and am working down the list of orders.

As far as the SSC-Lite (which is what this thread was started) I currently have one in stock and am building 8 more seats now. Of which most are against orders. I can get your custom seats out as well.

There will be more be more changes and additions to the line of seats comming soon.

Thanks again for all the interest and inquires.

Here's a bumpske for ya Joe. I have a steelseat.com that goes back to the last dozen WC Edgar built just before Thom and Luanne took over. It is holding up fine. I believe I will be getting on your list in the near future for one of the lite seats. Great ideas.

Do they come with a back rest? Cool

Answering all three nice comments -
(1) Jim Thanks for the nice comment and the second order. That made me feel I had done something right.

(2) Rick Thanks - Rich bought an Original SteelSeat and was one on the list of orders that I am going through.

(3) James - a back on a Lite - I knew this was coming - Lite was built to be Light in Weight - I can put a back on one if you want. I have been busy building Lites without backs and Original SteelSeats with back. Like a lot of other modifications to seats they can be done MOST of the time it just takes and order and a little extra money.

Thanks again for all the phone calls and emails off the forum too.

Yes they will fit under an airplane seat and in the overhead.

I have been asked this question via email 3 times so thought I would post it.

I will check but I think ?????? it will also work after adding the back. I am going to do that soon.
