Quad City Steel Club?

The subject of forming a QC Steel club was brought up at the Davenport show last month. There was a sign-up sheet at the show. I saw one person besides myself who signed the sheet, but there may have been others that I am not aware of.
I am curious as to the outcome and if it looks like this will happen.
I consider my PSG skills to be somewhere between novice and intermediate and believe that joining others of various levels would be very beneficial toward becoming a better player.
If the club does not materialize, would anyone like to begin informal meetings/jams near the Cities for information exchange and support?

Please post a response if you are interested in playing, learning or sharing with those of us who are looking to learn how to improve our playing.
