IT IS APPROCHING TIME FOR EVERY ONE TO CHECK IN! I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND AS MY BROTHER HAS HAD HIS FARM AUCTION SCHEDULED FOR SOME TIME AND I PROMISED I WOULD HELP HIM. I HATE MISSING THE JAM AS MUCH AS ANYTHING OTHER THAN CHURCH.

LET'S NOT FORGET THE TWO INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE PUT THE MOST WORK INTO MAKING OUR JAM SESSIONS WORK AND MOST REWARDING. THEY MAY BE ONES WHO HAVE HAD THE MOST PROBLEMS LATELY BUT, THEY STILL DO WHAT IS NECESSARY TO GIVE US SOMETHING TO ENJOY. KEN HOLT AND LEROY WOOD NEED US TO SAY THANKS MORE OFTEN FOR THEIR TIRING EFFORTS MAKING PHONE CALLS, ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE BLDG ETC.

SHOW THEM YOUR SUPPORT BY LOGING ON LETTING THEM KNOW YOU CAN MAKE IT.

Leroy, thanks for the call.

Jill and I will be playing an outdoor wedding on a ranch South of Altus.

But, you guys know we would much rather be at the jam than to be down there eating their nasty old mesquite-smoked bar-b-que. Laughing Whoa! Laughing

(If the sky is extra clear we might even saddle up the 172. Nothing quite like a leisurely flight home right at sunset.)

See ya........Joel

I was raised up in and around Yukon. Lived awhile in Bethany and attended two years at Putnam City high school and awhile at Classon High Scool. I graduated from Yukon in 1950. I did attend Oklahoma City Universite for a few months but actually got kicked out for playing country music down on Reno steet in Okla City. It was called "Hillbilly" at time. I was majoring in Trombone. I must make find the time to come and play on your show. It would be fun. Scotty

Scotty,

Thanks for your post and info on your ties with okc. I had visited with you befor about the good old days, (early 50's). I started on KLPR in 51 and later on TV with Jack Beasley. Another band that played on KLPR was Lenard Sipes and featured a young girl singer, Wanda Jackson. There are a lot more memories around this town we could talk about, maybe later!!!
We would be honored to have you visit us anytime.

I'm going to try to be there, may not play too much but want to see everyone. Had a knee brace on for 3 days now, so it feels better. Although when I play the 2nd string is out of tune because of the knee brace making my leg so big. Hope to see everyone Saturday. Wayne
