Del Ray,
That girl is definitely into steel guitar!
There seems to be more and more women taking up steel all the time!
Thanks for sharing. _________________ John Drury

Hello again,
Nikki started playing at the age of eight years old. She sings lead vocal in the family female quartet group, she also plays keyboard and bass guitar. She owns a Lloyd Green ShoBud and several lap steels.Nikki also owns a beauty salon. I'm not sure what tuning she prefers because she experiments with several. She is very flattered at all the attention she is getting between the forum and youtube.

All of the players on that page have different ways of praising God through their music. It's inspiring to see so many people taking steel guitar in that direction. Thanks for sharing! _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

That is tight!! My question is about her use of the wah pedal. Since this is my first time hearing Sacred Steel, is this a common thing for the players to use? I think it really drives it nicely. |

David, in the early seventies Lorenzo Harrison was the first to bring the Morely power wah into this style of music. The way he used it was so powerful and effective that it took off from there. We all ran out and purchased one. I only wish I would've asked him more questions about these things.
