I'm still curous, Why B6 was invented/whatever. It is only one fret from C6 right. I guess Im asking what is the inherent advantage. Is it jus an acident of the invent/creation of the 12 string.

You can raise the two D# strings of a B6th to E and have an E9th. From C6th, it would be an F9th and the high string would be A. The pedal raising it half a step would make Bb. Guitar strings break if you pull them to Bb. So, C6/F9 is impractical as a universal copedent.

Some people play Bb6/Eb9, but the B6/E9 or more common E9/B6 gives you the standard E9 fret positions.
