we all know that there are two pedal set ups
the Day and the Emmons, the difference being the A and B pedals are reversed ,its been said many times one is as good as the other, but i got to thinking with the Day set up how would you get the BC combination ?
i know i'm gonna feel stupid when i get the answer haha

actually,on the Day setup, the A pedal is where the C pedal is in the Emmons setup. The C pedal is where the A pedal is on the Emmons...the B pedal remains unchanged. So The Day setup is really that the A and C pedals are reversed. Does that make any sense now ?

Usually, the knee levers are on different knees also. I play the Jimmy Day setup; Lk L lowers Es LK R raises Es to F, Rk L lowers #6 1/2 to G etc. On most Emmons setups these knees are just oposite this. Hope this doesn't confuse you more. Andy H.
I also have a up lever on left knee; lowers 5 & 10 to Bb. Don't know how I played so long without it. Andy. Smile
