Hey John, it's because of all the free waffles he had to eat when he was palying with Sid Manley! Ask him about that next time you see him.

Wayne's a good guy because he's from out in the country in New Jersey; Bridgewater I think.
When I first met Wayne back in the mid 1980's I learned he lived about 3 miles from me. He said' "You play steel guitar son? I'll move the furniture out in to the yard in a mnute for a jam session". He and Jeannie are two of the greatest. They sure disprove that southern stereotyping that "Yankees ain't friendly"
Let us know if you are coming to the GsSGA. You will have a great time and we need your support to grow our club.

I got a call from Bob Evans yesterday asking if I would be the opening act for this show. It starts at 10:00 A.M. and goes until about 6:00 P.M. There are a lot of good steel pickers lined up and Mike Sweeney is the headliner, he is a great player. It will be a good show so get there early. I will be the opening act according to Bob.

Break a leg, Charlie. Will you be playing your SuperPro? Wish I could make it. It'll be a fine show.

The Peach Jam is approaching fast. If the Lord is willing and my Ford cranks, I will be there with bells on. I am thinking about doing something different at the Peach Jam. Instead of a rod, reel and tackle bag, I am thinking about giving away a ride in a UH-1H (Huey) helicopter on 29 August 2009. The Huey ride will be in a UH-1H (Huey) that belongs to the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation which is located on Tara Field, adjacent to the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Ga. Three of the aircraft belonging to the AAHF saw service in Vietnam. Since the Huey is no longer in the Army inventory, getting a chance to ride in a Huey would be a once in a lifetime experience.
