I would like to hear any comments, both pro and con, on the use of the Evans RE 200 for my pedal steel. I am considering it because of it's light weight. I am happy with the Nashville 112 I now have but it has become too heavy for me, even though I have replaced the original speaker with a lightweight speaker that has a 7 oz magnet.

Re THe RE200 I think its terrific for a steel amp. Have been using one (the hybrid ) for about a year . It makes heads turn when they hear it . My brother uses one for his fiddle and same result .

I have had one for about a year now and wouldn't trade it for nothing. I love the size and the sound. I am not a huge fan of the reverb live but in the studio it's good. I don't need it for volume but, I do add an extension speaker. It seems to soften up the mids just a hair and I like that. I've played arenas with over 500 people and never got it above 5. I word of advise if you get one leave the bass on about 5 and turn the next knob up to adjust your lows. it distorts if you run the bass all the way up. Besides you don't need it all the way up. plenty of low end. Just an incredible amp. I love it.
