Roy, Katelyn looks like a natural steel player.
And I see she's a Spongebob fan too!Smile
There's hope for the future after all . .

Thanks, guys.

Rick Alexander gave Katelyn the bar she is using. He also sent us a copy of his great album, "Songs From The Old Country" from which I played Katelyn a few samples of his playing. Here is her message to Rick that she dictated to me. which I inserted into an email to Rick. These are her own words.

“Mr. Alexander, Thank you for this new bar. I love it and it feels just right for me. Someday I would like to play just like you. I love your music, and maybe someday you can go to a music show and invite all of us. Thank you so much for all the stuff. From Katelyn.”

Roy, you sure made the right choice of bar for Katelyn.
I had recommended a mini bullet bar, but the photo clearly demonstrates that the flattie was the way to go for her at this time.
Plus her own words confirm it.
She's a very fortunate little girl to have you for a grandfather.
Something else I notice from looking at the photo - Katelyn's right hand is a blur.
That little lady is speed pickin' already!

So it may not be too long before you'll be bringing her to perform at the Non Pedal Session . .

Now that you have seen our youngest grand daughter, Katelyn -- here is our oldest grand daughter, Jessica. (Jessica is 21 and does NOT play steel.)
