Hi,
I was stumbling around on the internet and came across this site. Perhaps its old news but it was new to me:
http://www.sleepwalk-instrumental.com/
It features a new CD by Johnny of Santo and Johnny and appears to be his site.

I friend of mine saw Johnny perform last year at Foxwoods Casino in CT and said he sounded great. BTW Johnny was the guitar player in the original duo, not the steel player. The original Sleepwalk that we all know and love was played on steel by Santo Farina.

So, "Sir Douglas"....Is the undenied, unbelievable, original song writer, SANTO..........................................................AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH.........................still with us?????????????
And of course, I know that, in spite of his
classic contribution to this great steel world, may not have been the actual composer of "SLEEPWALK".
You Devil.....I just love your 16 EASY SONGS,
the latest edition that folks have been "faving".

hey Chip, Sleepwalk has 3 names on the copyright: Santo, John, and Ann Farina. Last I heard Santo was alive and well and living in Italy. I don't think he plays steel anymore. |
