Unfortunately, I have to cancel the seminar in Lexington, KY on Friday, November 2nd. There just wasn't enough response to justify doing it. I'm sorry to say that for some reason steel players just don't support seminars as in years past. I have spoken with some of the other players that also do seminars and in most cases it is the same. I do appreciate those that did respond.
I will still be playing on the show both days and will have my booth with several new products and some Christmas Specials.

This is a shame. It seems to me that a lot of steelers want to learn all they can as long as it's free. You guys missed a great opportunity. |

Ordinarily I would have jumped at this chance. Herby's E9th course was among my first; think I purchased it with my steel. It's only 2 hours from home and at a show I always attend.
Anyway, I have not practiced regularly in over a year and haven't hit a note in about 6 months. I got too busy, temporarily, and now I'd say I'm just distracted and lazy -- mostly the latter. Perhaps the show will recharge me. Sorry I wasn't prepared to support the seminar. [This message was edited by Ron Page on 29 October 2001 at 07:31 AM.] |

This is a shame, Herby is a great! He can teach the things that need to be learned.
Any time in the future you can attend one of Herby's teachathons be sure to attend. Thank you!

I've attended semmiars by several well known teachers and musicians. I've been to the two Herby had in Plant City, Fl the last two years. I've got more practical or useful info out of them than any of the semminars I've been to.
The sad part is Herby is not alone in attracting attendees. From what I've heard attendance is way down at all of the semminars and it would be a shame if they quit producing semminars. |

Jack,Truer words hath nair been spaketh!
Herby teaches all the great stuff as do some other great teachers, this is a very valuable resorce that we as steel players have, and it should NOT be taken lighty. I only wish that when I was a kid and "on fire" wanting to learn, I could have studied with someone of his stature.(Well, mentally anyway). Herby is offering his experiance, time and soul, for just pennys compared to the effort one would have to spend "getting it on his own". Please , next time you have this chance, don't let it slip by. This goes for the pro's too! Herby taught me every thing I know, sorry, I don't mean to blame you Herby,I just forgot the good stuff!
