I'm working on a deal for a used Remington Console S-1 in red with Ozite case. it's in good shape with a few bar dings. What would you guess this is worth?

I sold my mint condition S-8 with case for $1200.00. But it didn't have a lacquer finish on it.

Herb's web page shows $895 for an S-8 with clear finish plus $300 for color. If they are asking more than that you might consider ordering a new one from Herb.  |

I bought a new Remington S8 in August of 2007. The price was $895 plus shipping.
The instrument has proved to be worth every bit of my investment. The tone is great and it is always in tune.
If you can get hold of one, I would avise you to get it. I wouldn't sell mine if I could get all my money back.
