Charlie it appears to be a late 70's model or an early 80's.Judging by the serial#. That number is close to mine. The serial of mine is D2363, and I was told mine was a 1984 model.

Charlie, my S10 is 1511 S, and Emmons have confirmed it to be 1977.

Thanks to all of you that replied. I'm putting it on sale on the forum and wanted to make sure I was close. Looks like I'm safe to say late 70s.
Thanks |

I have a 1296 S 10 which is supposed to be 1973 but it was a guess. The only Emmons list I have seen was for D 10s and I was told they did not match the S10s.
If you search the internet you can find it.
I was told a 1600S was around 1979. |

Mine is 1515 S and is confirmed to be a 1977 guitar. Looks like yours could be 1979 maybe.

If your guitar was an '84, it would have LeGrande pedals and a 6000 series number. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

It's Rosewood came with the Decal on the front apron I had it rebuilt by Charlie Ward about 6 mo. before he passed away. It has 3-4 now looks 8.5 out of 10.Plays and sounds great

I saw the number underneath and saw the serial number,I was wrong about the model year and there was nothing saying it was a Legrande. I was wrong on the model year.I have been looking to find the info,as to the model year. And Shory told me the othe night that it was a '77 model according to the sheet. I am still happy with it, great sound and tone.

I've seen and played Emmons Originals (PP's) from each decade they were manufactured, and I can't really say that there was ever a vintage to beware of or avoid... the brand was always consistent in its assembly and quality of parts.
Of course, some individual guitars may exhibit certain characteristics that some players might prefer over others, but I haven't heard a PP that I'd consider a "dud," or a time period I'd advise a potential buyer to watch out for.
I like 'em all. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
