This years TSGA show was another incredible weekend for all of us. This year we were so fortunate to hear Paul Franklin play outside the studio, and really let loose...And he delivered some blistering single-note lines, fluid melodic melodies, and everything inbetween...I was really happy to see some players that did not perform last year as well. Buck Reid of course is always one of my favs..Lloyd Manes, Buck Grantham, Tommy Dodd..(love this guys technique) Rusty Rhoades played a flawless set of great tunes!!! The list of greats goes on and on...too many to mention. I met so many new friends I cant count them all. We had a healthy attendance from overseas as well. Dave Hartley stopped by for a duet with me in the Mullen room (Pictures to prove it..lol)...The man is a master player...Paddy Long was here from New Zealand..Many thanks to Charles Tilley, for inviting me to play this year, and of course to our good friend Albert Talley for making this all come together. I am so proud to be affiliated with all of you, and of course with Mike, Del and Dixie..For those of you looking for my book!...It goes into first edition print in 2 weeks!...My heartfelt thanks to all of you that tune into my videos too...I look forward to hearing from each and every one of you...Peace!...Mickey in Dallas _________________ ARTIST RELATIONS: MSA GUITARS

Mickey, Thanks for the hospitality and putting me up for a couple of days. I'm glad you kicked me out for Saturday night; I'd never made my flight. Fun to "flash back" and do our Greatful Dead stuff on Friday (?). I'm shopping for my mica!!! Mike and Del said that IF I found "my" mica, they'd put it on the guitar. One question, what was the thickness? I think Del said 0.040 inches. Can you confirm?
I'm gonna be broke before long if I don't quit buying gear, HA!
I really enjoyed meeting Dixie, Del and Mike. Really nice people. Also, thanks to Jerry Newberry for throwing me off with his F lever, HA!
Patricia, good to meet you as well. I didn't forget. Great show! |
