As I write this it is 2:51pm and Leonard T Zinn is still on his way back to MI.
However, I've spoken with him by way of the telephone and he had wonderful words for you and all the guys who helped play on the Sunday AM worship service in St Louis.
I hope you can make our show in G R MI the first week in April 2002?
Thanks for the fine playing in St Louis. Evelyn |

Mike,
Man it was a blast getting to meet you, your wife, and a lot of great folks and hearing the musicians, and a great big thanks to Jim Aycoth, his lovely wife and niece for their kindness at the Emmons booth and display room. And, folks, i gotta tell ya, Mike Sigler is a fantastic steel player and nice guy too ; i had the priviledge of hearing him play in the Church program on Sunday and he also was kind enough to give some help with my purchase of a new Legrande II. Thanks, Mike, for your help and for jam session in the Emmons Room, hope you put some of those chops in my new steel. God bless you all.---------------Skip Cole

Jim, Joann, Susan and everyone at the Emmons Display are very kind people. And made my Wife and i feel at home.
It sure is hard to find that kinda family surrounding, But Sally and I know we'll always find it at the Emmons Booth!
Ps. i left all the licks in your guitar!
You just have to find the hidding place.

If no one gave Mike a chance to sing, you missed a great opportunity. He is one of the greatest ever, as well as a super picker. |

No doubt! Mike is a super singer also. He plays the steel on my show and does a tremendous job- but the people that come to our Ohio Valley Opry don't go home happy until Mike sings. Great job in St Louis, Mike. We are real proud of ya! |

Fred and Skip,
It sure was great seeing you guys at the show. Fred, keep bringing that boy of yours around ..who knows, he may catch the same fever we have for this instrument yet..
Deana, if your sure you can out up with Mike and I on the same stage, I'll take you up on your offer and we'll set a date soon for me to come down to your fine show.
Skip, congradulations on your new Emmons. I wished Mike had a played mine to have a few of his licks to bring home..

It was a great week-end! When Jeff and Hal played on Sunday, and Jeff played " I Love You So Much It Hurts Me", and dedicated it to Jimmy Day, I could almost see Jimmy up there. The last time I was there was in 97, and Jimmy was still with us. Jeff was so close to Jimmy's style it was unreal. There were other highlights but this one really stood out. Now I also know what some of you from here look like.

Mike...You did a great job of playing. Really enjoyed it. I wish we would have had a chance to broadcast part of the Thu night show but we were still getting everything ready to go on Fri. I would have loved to get a chance to get an interview with you. If you are interested let me know and we can set up a phone interview either live or tape it for playback later. GREAT JOB!
