Sacred Steel in Atlanta

For any of you steel players in Atlanta who want to check out what this Robert Randolph thing is all about, there is a House of God church in your area, the House of God Church,
3099 Rockbridge Rd. in Avondale Estates, GA, which is having a revival all week. I know that Dante Harmon and Josh Taylor, two of the best young Sacred Steel players have been playing there. You guys should go down and check it out, you won't be sorry.

Hey, Dan, I haven't been able to check out Dante in person yet, although I'm looking forward to it. He got a tremendous write-up in the Entertainment section of Friday's Atlanta Journal-Constitution, with lots of really good focus on the steel guitar itself, the Sacred Steel Tradition, and quotes from Bob Stone about the Sacred Steel scene. The media has really taken to these Sacred Steelers and they're sure doing a lot for our instrument's visibility!

Just recently heard of an announcement about a Dominion Church opening in Denison Texas,my home town. Trying to find out more about it and hoping they too have steel guitar in their worship service. Will check it out and let you know .

Don't be surprised to find that these folk are about a whole lot more than steel guitar.
