As stated in previous posts, the convention, as always, was a great experience, to say the least. Hats off to the Scott Family and all the others for making this event happen. The steel players and all the musicians involved were fantastic, the booths stayed extremely well done and managed. The vendors/builders were all courteous and helpful, providing all information that i requested. I would like to express my gratidude to Mr and Mrs Jim Aycoth and their beautiful niece for all their kindness and help in the purchase of my new Legrande II. Fantastic Steel and great people building and marketing them. This will be my 3rd Emmons and i believe they just keep getting better, imho.
I also had an opportunity to meet a few Forum members, which was very unique. Bill Taft, was good to meet you, Jeff Peterson was kind enough to give me helpful tips on maintaining my new axe, thanks Jeff. Jerry Brightman, what a picker and great aquaintance. Mike Sigler was good enough to install some of his fantastic chops in the auto-pilot on my new Emmons. One picker i hope to get to hear pick again is Chuck Campbell, once you hear him, you won't forget it; it'll turn your head but won't turn you loose.
Sorry to take up so much space, but i'm like a kid just back from the toy store. Thnaks to God for giving me a wonderful understanding wife, good friends, and a super steel. God bless you all.----Skip
