Dave---the case of my 12 string XR-16 (identical to the 712) is 1 1/4" x 4 1/2". It actually pushes a scant 64th or so wider than 1 1/4". Will not fit my Sho-Bud opening.

The string spacing is 11/32"

I get the same measurements as Jon on my BL-712.

Thanks guys. I was thinking about trying one in my Kline but I don't think it will fit. I threw a 710 in there for kicks while my single coil is getting rewound and it sounds surprisingly good.

Out of all the humbuckers I've tried in my U-12 Mullen, the BL-712 has been my favorite.
