I've been wanting to record this project for a couple of years and finally, here it is! I've always loved Wynn, but what iced the cake was that he used Ralph Mooney on a lot of his songs.
I played the melodies on my Zum, and the intos, fills and turnarounds on a Fender 800 to really give it the Bakersfield (Mooney) touch. All live studio musicians as needed to get that authentic sound. The sound samples will tell you more than I can say.

[b]Here are seven sound samples, and there are more on my site. Click on the title to listen.

** Back To The Blue Room

** Wishful Thinking

** If You See My Baby (In This Lonesome Old Town)

** Half Of This And Half Of That

** Livin' In Sunshine

** Yours Forever

** It's Such A Pretty World Today

A great set of Rhythm tracks are also available.

Hi Guys
I can confirm all of Mike's endeavours are top notch and the quality of the music is superb. If you haven't got any of his CDs then do yourself a favour and get some. Great to deal with and a superb musician.
Cheers Mike

The tone of that Fender on the intro of "It's Such a Pretty World" makes me hyperventilate!

Probably Ralph has the most west coast sound of anyone . He always had it with Waylon too. But, the 1st cut of "It's Such a Pretty World " had Jimmy Collins on steel in 66', then re-done in 76' & 86' once by Russ Hicks and then by Stu Bassore. JF

Don & Barry, Thanks very much!

Brian, you can't buy the CD without a signed statement from your lung doctor.

Jerry, I agree. Ralph did invent the style though, and the others that followed copied him. I understand why, too. It's FUN!

Hey there, Andy. Got your order shipped, and I apppreciate you! I just record the stuff I love. You'd think I'd have run out of steel fodder by now, but for every CD I do, I think of five more I want to do in the future!

The Dallas show was great, and it was good to me as well. I now also have Autographed Ralph Mooney portrait prints available at the web site.
