the legendary wayne cox

since his name has appeared in another thread,
i feel compelled to ask, .....???
how in the world is wayne cox doing?
i did see him a few years ago at a steel show, where he smoked the house playing a louisiana hollow body lap steel designed and built by he & andy hinton.
the playing was supberb and the tone still is talked about in these parts. was it the amp or the hands?
i remember that wayne had quite a reputation for tone on pedals back in the good-ol'-daze.
