I mounted my NV112 chassis into an empty NV400 I had with a 15" BW.
I wanted that extra Mid. & Bass, that I just couldnt get with the 12" speaker of the 112 doing the larger gigs.
It took a little doing, but was IMHO, worth it
I had thought about a split cab, but figured that was just more equipment to haul,,,so I guess I did my own mod!!

Richard, very nice mod. Did you have to alter the Nashville 400 cab to get the 112 chassis to fit? |

David, I will weigh the amp & get the weight for ya, I can tell its Lbs lighter than the NV400 loaded
Len, its the other way around, I had to modify the NV112 chassis somewhat. I had to move the power transformer to one side about 2", very easy to do. The hard part I guess was to trim 3/4" from the sheet metal chassis of the 112 by hand. Its only trimmed on one side (Transformer side). Its not much to trim, but it will not fit as is.
I really like the all in one cabinet result and this amp really has the full tone & all I was wanting.
As far as volume, its all I need & more. Its really not a matter of volume. Its the tone of the 112 through a 15" speaker, the volume of air moved by a 12" speaker vs a 15" speaker, makes a big difference. _________________ steelguitarguy.com |

Nice job Richard. I see you came to the same conclusion as I did (see my post in this section)... that the NV112 amp has a lot more to offer if combined with a 15" speaker.
My decision to use a Weber 15 instead of one of my BWs was based on the incredible light weight of 12 lbs. for the Weber...and still rated at 100 watts, so still a relative light weight rig... but one which would maximize the 80 watt NV112 amp.
Bet we see a few more of these 15" modifications _________________ Dave Wren
