| Anybody use one of these? Gold Tone offers them in they're Weis' even though the string spacing doesn't match the poles. Not a huge deal. |

I haven't used that particular model, but the Dean Markley pickups I have used have been pretty good, very resistant to feedback. I hope someone who has a Gold Tone Weissenborn will respond.

| I've used other Dean Markley stuff as well and it's no doubt good quality. I'm really curious about the mag PU in the Trilogy. I was pretty much bent on a Baggs M1 active since I have some experience with them and they are quite good and i can't imagine a better mag pu for acoustic guitar. But the Weissenborn is a really overtone rich guitar and I want that to show up in my mix as well. I had planned on an M1 with a mic and pray for no feedback. But the Trilogy's 3 sources are really intriging, I hate a piezo with slide guitar but with this setup you can dial in as much as you want so just a smidge may add some presence. I've read quite a few folks are using the Duncan Mag-Mic which I'm sure is a nice rig$$ but I don't like the fact that the Magnetic PU stays at 100% and you just dial in some mic to add some air. the Trilogy lets you have a full range of blending options as determined by what instrument you through it in and your taste. |
