Lapro Squareneck Capo - African Blackwood

Post by Dave Begalka »

Howdy Steelers,
These capos are of my own design and handcrafted out of African Blackwood. The strings crown over the jumbo fret and are secured by the top plate. The brass fastener threads into a brass insert in the main body. This model works best on squarenecks with right around 3/8" or more clearance between the underside of the strings and the fingerboard. I can adjust the overall height to size if need be. The bottom of the top plate and the bottom of the main body have black hook and loop (the soft side) so you could stick it to a convenient spot if need be. Let me know if you have questions. Price - $39.99 + shipping.

Dave Begalka just sent me one of his custom built Lapro capos. This is a real handy tool, it works like it should, and the craftmanship is amazing.

When installed are there any "muted" or "dull" sounding strings in the open position ?
