This show should be super special this year with some of the greatest ever talent. Many "stars" of guitar, and famous vocalists will be present.I will also be performing with Bob Saxton on the instrumental part of the show and be working with Martha Carson on the vocal part. I will advise that everyone that can come, do so.
My part is on the 11th (Wed.) at 7:00 PM.

A couple of picker friends from Indianapolis will be there. Joe Jackson will be picking and Bernie Waldon will be with him. Bernie sings and picks bass.

Bobbe:
I have a friend Larry Lynch from my home town here in Wolfville who will be going. I considered it but am booked to play for a wedding that weekend.
I am planning for next year though. The "Touch" of Chet was beyond compare.

Bobbe, It was good to see you last night(Wed 11Jul) at the Sheraton, you and Bob Saxton played great. The crowd was really impressed with both of your playing and your humor. That "Little David",who used to play with the Oak Ridge Boys was an awesome "Thumbpicker" too. Those who were'nt there sure missed a good show! Larry

Thankyou Larry,I enjoyed seeing you there! It's nice to see a steeler in a sea of standard guitar players.
I was very glad to be the opening act for such a tremendously big and important extravaganza. To be the only steel player to play for some of the worlds greatest guitar players is about as large an honor as I could have.I was also re-invited to play at the "North-American" guitar covention in Las Vegas this comming year.Who says steel guitar isn't getting out there! Looks like another "Live" album in my future. Thanks again Larry for watching me "show" off for the lead players. (Thay wuz gud 2).

Hey Bobbe, I did't get to Nashville til late Thur, to late to see you but got to pick a little thumbstyle with Bob Saxton. Got to see some amazing guitar players including Brent Mason, Paul Franklin and a new guy to me, named Scottie Anderson. W O W !!!! I have never heard anything like this guy. Randy McCoy and myself went over to your store about 5 pm Sat. only to find it closed. We were going to buy a couple of steels but there was no one to wait on us. BTW, can I apply for the sales job? your friend, Lonnie Portwood, Jax., fl.
