For those who showed up last night, Greg Vincent and Tom Powell. Thanks!! The Big Fat Steve band really swung the place. The mostly top-40 C/W crowd didn't know what hit 'em and they loved it. Cowboy Country is located at 3321 E. South Street. South of the 91, exiting at Downey Avenue, or west of the 605, exiting at South Street. It's on the north/west corner of Downey and South St. Although the crowd was small, they were enthusiastic and hopefully word will spread and this "Western Swing" night will be a success. We've got about 90 days to make it just that so tell your friends and come on down. It's a great venue and if we don't take advantage of it, it would be a real shame. Enjoy the live music as well as canned music including such greats as Morrell, AATW, Hot Club of Cowtown and more. When was the last time we heard Tommy Morrell & the Time Warp Tophands, The Texas Playboys or any of the other great Western Swing greats in an L.A. Nightclub? 5pm to 10pm. July 22, Chapped Cheeks, July 29, The Lucky Stars. Harry Orlove will be premiering his SCWSMS House Band after that. Don't forget August 5th for another SCWSMS afternoon of Big Fat Steve and another jam session. 1pm to 5pm at Cowboy Country. $10 general admission and pickers get in free. WE NEED YOU!!
