Western Swing @ Cowboy Country

Cowboy Country in North Long Beach will start a "Western Swing" night beginning Sunday, July 15th from 5pm to 10pm. Various live bands will perform through July and the So. Calif. Western Swing Music Society house band will take over in August. Monthly guest "Western Swing" artists can be auditioned and booked through Cathi Parson, So. Calif. Western Swing Music Society (SCWSMS). If interested, make note of this email address: WSWING4EVER@aol.com or simply reply to this topic. The SCWSMS will also be holding their monthly Western Swing dances/jams at Cowboy Country on the second Sunday of the month beginning in September @ 1pm till 5pm. Our August Dance/Jam will be held @ Cowboy Country on August 5th. Pickers participating in the Jam will be admitted free. Congrats to Ken Littleton of Cowboy Country for bringing Western Swing back into the mainstream. Let's support his efforts. Hope to see you there!!

"Cowboy Country" is the old "Silver Bullet" club, located on South Street, just south of the 91 Freeway, between Cherry Ave. and Lakewood Blvd., on the north side of the street.
