This morning, every google search result contains the warning:
Quote: |
This site may harm your computer. |
When I click on the entry I get a google page warning me of malware content. When I click on the google diagnostic detail page I get an error page. In fact, all the links on the warning page result in error.
Has some idiot put a beta system online? Has google been attacked? |

That was odd but it seems to have cleared up. I'll do all my own usual-suspect scanning to be sure that it's not me with the malware. |

Google adjusts its spam and malware detection algorithms every so often and may have flagged all those sites in error. That's why the warnings disappeared after a while.
Be cautious when following SERPs links,as many legitimate websites have been compromised via database code insertion attacks. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum

Confirmed: Google warns entire Internet is malware.
Update at 9:10 a.m. PST: Google's response added. For a short time this morning, Google listed every site on the Internet as malware.
Marissa Mayer, Google vice president of search products & user experience, attributed the problem to "human error" in a blog posting just after 9 a.m. PST. Here is her posting in its entirety:
If you did a Google search between 6:30 a.m. PST and 7:25 a.m. PST this morning, you likely saw that the message "This site may harm your computer" accompanied each and every search result. This was clearly an error, and we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to our users. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum

Too late. I burned my computer in the fireplace and washed my hands of the whole internet deal. |
