Older MSA Info
A friend of mine has an older MSA S-12 with 7 and 5. The serial 1C281... Anyone have an idea how old this guitar is, or any other info on it.
Thanks, Randy

Another Elderly MSA
I have just received an MSA s12U white mica 8 pedals 5 knee levers. The serial number is 1C109 I was only told 1970's vintage. Seems to be in good shape. Reece, by any chance can you tell me when this guitar was made? Thanks, James

James....Thank you for your inquiry and for being a part of the MSA family. Records show serial number 1C109 is a white single 12 which left the factory with 7 pedals and 5 knee levers. Records also show that was my personal guitar with which I played many shows and seminars.
I'm delighted to know it now has a great home with you. I have found in many instances, those those who inquire about the history of their MSA take extra care of their guitar, and to me, thats an indication of pride of ownership.

My 74 D10 classic has been with me longer than any guitar I'v ever had[and I've had a LOT of them] Can't find any reason to want to trade it. My trading habit ended when I got it. DYKBC.

I bought the green MSA shown in my avatar in 1980. It still plays and sounds great.

I've mentioned this a couple of times before,I don't understand why the old MSA'S don't hold their value like some of the old Emmons,Bud's etc.this is just my opinion only, but I think the old ones were built just as good as anything on the market,Mine is the most dependable guitar I have ever had.But I guess thats good you can still buy a GREAT guitar at a reasonable price. Larry.....Serial number 1C2378 shows to be a black single 10 which left the factory with 5 pedals and 4 knee levers. It's original destination was CMI in Chicago which was our distributor at the time. They would have sold it to a music store.
