Anybody replaced the stock lipstick pup on one of these with something else and can comment on the results?
Have been thinking about putting a stringmaster type (8-pole single coil)pup on mine and wondering anybody has done that.

I put a lollar stringmaster pickup in fits perfect in the top plate even the screws just had to hog out a little wood underneath the plate with a pocket knife. I also notched the bridge with a stew mac nut ruler a dremel tool and nut files and also made a new nut out of aluminum for slightly wider string spacing. Some pics. Hope that helps. Bob

Just about anything is an improvement for one of these, but the prices are fair.
Another Lollar Stringmaster transplant plus...
