Peavey Special 150 in a Pacer Cabinet - Price Lowered

Post by Darvin Willhoite »

I bought this amp as a chassis only and put it in a Peavey Pacer cabinet I had. This amp sounds great with steel as well as guitar, even with the 12" Eminence speaker that is currently in it. The speaker is 4 ohms impedance, and is marked prototype sample. This cabinet is large enough (same size as the LTD-400) that the baffle can easily be enlarged for a 15" speaker. The cabinet has new corners and is in really good condition, with just a few small nicks that are hardly noticeable. The amp puts out 150 watts at 4 ohms. The owners manual can be downloaded here:

http://www.peavey.com/support/searchman ... cfm?page=S

Go down to "Special 150" and it opens in PDF form.

The amp makes a slight "pop-pop-pop" sound when you turn it off, but it does not effect the normal operation of the amp.

The price is $185, shipping included in the lower 48. I will take Paypal payment and absorb the fee myself, I like the convenience. I also have more pictures I can email if necessary. I probably also have an extra "Peavey" emblem I can put on the front if you would like. I've had a few questions about the weight, it weighs 47 lbs.

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, as well as some older MSAs, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Recently added a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored blue Rose, named the "Blue Bird" to the herd. Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic again that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also added a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks.

A Peavy Special 130 used with a DD3 is an adequate backup rig.
