I wish to thank all my steel guitar friends, who helped to make the Steel Guitar Circle Jam a success. I think we were able to make it work because of the perseverance of Elaine Ellis. She played back-up bass, sang, ran the sound system etc. She coordinated/conducted arrangements,(so each player would know when to back off). When we jammed around the circle, she was unbiased in directing and selecting players.
A lot of folks in the Weymouth Mass. area, (including the management of the American Legion), are requesting another circle jam; But I think it won`t happen until Elaine gives me permission.
Regards, Manny Escobar |
