I'm having some fun with a diatonic tuning I put on on one of my guitars. It seems easiest to navigate if I picture the strings as 2 interwoven tunings every other string.
The primary string groups are your I chord and the secondary string groups are a IIm

from high to low:

A
G#
F#
E
C#
B
A
G#
F#
E
C#
B

Thanks to Chas Smith for the idea to think of this tuning as standard ABC pedals up and pedals down all in one. Cool

Its also a bit like playing piano because depending on what chord you're playing over, the entire tuning can be thought of as all white keys or all black keys.

Anyone else experimenting with this type of tuning?
