First online video for me !
Humbly submitted on this forum full of incredible players...
My story... I quit playing steel 17yrs ago. In 2008 I pulled out my dusty, crusty 'ole steel and sat behind it. It felt like a foreign object... like I was trying to write with the wrong hand. I met the talented 'fella singing on this clip around March and became inspired to get back on stage.
This is an original from his latest CD...
Me in the dark (good thing) on pedal steel & harmonies.
Thanks for listening !

Rick..I liked it! Was that the Carter you were playing?
It sounds good and has potential.
As do you... You lay back just right and then jump on it when it's your turn. Just like Jeff Newman taught us. (did you take lessons from Jeff?) You have the right idea there. Your sound and playing is amazing considering the time you have been away from it.
Your playing and sound can only improve from here. You were smart to post at this point in time. I hope you get lots of feedback. A heck of a great effort. I also hope that you will post more so we can follow your progress.
On the downside: band members should refrain from smoking and drinking on stage. It takes so much away from the overall professionalism. Tell the singer to tuck his shirt in

Cheese Makers...
Thanks for the comments Bent.
Yes the Carter; a great sounding guitar and the audio on it didn't do that justice.
I do have a new Willy being built as we speak; not a need really, but simply a want 'cause it's possible for me at this time.
Nope, no lessons from Jeff Newman... I plan to start his DVD series asap; sure wish he were still with us, I'd be in class.
I need to conquer my nerves too, but I think getting more confident & advanced with my playing will help there.
On the band members... agreed; that jumped at me like a grizzly bear when I first watched it.
