Actually found this on Craigslist.. Guy was searching for an alt country steel player. Right up my alley ! probably not a whole lot of money, but the guy truly does sounds like the real deal to me.. Its an alt country style with some folky/traditional/bluesy/whatever mixed in the feel. Texas boy up here in icy NY state.. for what reason I can't say..
Check out cuts 1 and 5.. I really like them.. I am NOT the steel player on these cuts, but will be working with him soon.. Later in Jan as a matter of fact. He seems to have a bunch of radio stations that play his stuff,, several in Texas, but probably mostly alt stations.. I REALLY need to do something as my steel playing has been awful because there is no one to play it with here, and no where to play.. guitar chops too.. GONE... Just not playing at all anymore.
Been playing mostly bass these days, and even that has dried up. hey ,wish me luck in this endevour...bob

Good luck. I well know how it is to have nobody to play with. It's bad for your chops, bad for your motivation and bad for your morale. Hope this turns it around for you.

Sounds good, Bob - you should be playing steel more. I really should try to hook you up with the guys I play with when they're up in Ithaca - I keep thinking I'll have time to travel with them up there, but it just hasn't been working out.

BTW - I don't see a link to clips. I'd like to hear what you're talking about.
