Questions are A and B
A. Do any of you use an external sound module with BIAB. I have a Roland GR-50 that pre-dates USB.
Can I connect midi thru USB?? and is it worth the trouble using a sound module.

B. My lap top has a wicked buzz in the out put, so I got a cheap external sound card (turtle beach)
This helped but only about half.
They sell Hum eliminators that go on the 110 volt power side and some go in the line level output side.
I am wondering which side to try first.
This buzz stops altogether when the power Adaptor/charger is removed from the back of the lap top. all input appreciated
Thanks
Ken

If you are getting hum with the AC power adapter/charger plugged in, it sounds like the adapter is defective. Are you using the original or OEM replacement adapter or are you using some other brand (which could be the problem).

There are USB/MIDI adapters (about $40). I know a lot of people are using these with midi keyboards and it should work with any midi device.

Yes you can connect your Roland GR-50 midi via USB.
I have a Roland GI-10 that I have used connected that way. I used a Midisport device. It worked fine.
As for external Sound Modules... I have Cubase not BIAB. You can use anything you want as long as you have enough audio inputs.
