I thought I would weigh in on the new pocket pod.
I wanted to use my 2.0 pod on the steel so I tried the pocket pod on my guitar. Its extremely simple to use quickly on stage and it covers the basic's well.
Its easy to get settings were clean stops and overdrive starts on your guitar volume knob and the slap back on the echo is good for the little money.
It muddies up a little if you use the chorus along with the echo but for $82.00. I can't complain.
Happy New Year! to all forum members and there families. |

I bought a Pocket POD as I was hoping to get something smaller than my POD XT but was greatly disappointed and returned it. Everything in it is for rock guitar and I couldn't figure out how to program it. |

Jack, I forget that overdrive is not for everyone.
You are right. Its a great tool if you want to have clean up to a certain point on your guitars volume knob and overdrive without extra volume towards the high volume setting. |

I have a PODxt also but I've been using a pocket pod for the last 4 months or so.
You have to use it's USB hookup into your computer to really get into some decent tweeking.
There's no problem getting some nice clean tones & excellent FX. I picked it up with the AC adaptor
for $90 (like brand new on ebay). It's pretty amazing for a dinky little box that I can throw
into my Pak-a-Seat! I plug into a Stewart amp and Neo speaker. |

Yup. They're good for what they are good for.
Just another way L6 found to get rid of their mountain of 2.0 Pod guts..
I like it for headphone jamming, or running through my Roland MiniBsss.
Or bringing to to a jam with a 6 string.
They do eat batteries though.
I carry mine around in my guitar case.
Can't think of more passable effects for the money.
I wish it was a mini xt, but wtf..
Off to a gig after being snowed in for a week..
Whew..
